Emergency tree removal in Geelong
A tree or a big limb down on the house, the car or the driveway, including after hours.
Emergency work
When a tree comes down
Emergency work is about making things safe first. The full clean up can follow as a normal job.
Making it safe
The first visit deals with what cannot wait: a limb on the roof, a trunk across the driveway, or a split tree still standing over the house.
Hanging limbs
A limb that has snapped but is still caught in the crown can drop without warning. Keep people and pets out from under it until it has been brought down.
Stump grinding
Once the tree is off the house, the stump can be ground out later or left where it is.
How stump grinding works
How it works
From the first call to a clear garden
Nothing happens without a written quote you have agreed to.
Tell us about the tree
Call or send the form with the tree and what is worrying you.
A contractor comes to see it
A local tree contractor looks at the tree, the access and whatever sits underneath it, because a quote off a photo misses the things that change the job.
A written quote
The quote sets out the scope, what happens to the timber and the stump, and the date. It is the contractor's quote, and nothing starts until you accept it.
The work and the clean up
On the day the tree is dealt with as quoted, the green waste leaves on the truck and the lawn is raked.
Emergency questions
After hours, insurance and street trees
Can I ring after hours?
Yes. Emergency work is taken on after hours as well as during the day. If anyone is hurt or trapped, call triple zero first.
What about the insurance?
Storm damage to a house is often covered by home insurance, so take photos of the damage before anything is moved, and check with your insurer what they need from you.
What if the tree came down from the nature strip?
Street and park trees belong to the council. In the City of Greater Geelong, pruning or removing one without approval is an offence under its local law, so a fallen street tree is reported to the council. Work on your own trees beside it can still be quoted.
